Tejasvi Surya or L. Suryanarayana Tejasvi is a noted politician in India. He was born on November 16, 1990 in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka. While in the pursuit of education during his childhood, Tejasvi is said to have sold 17 paintings made by him. Tejasvi Surya, Indian Politician, Famous Indian and BJP leader donated the money earned from the sale of the paintings to the Army Kargil Relief Fund. He was also the recipient of National Balashree Honour that was awarded to him in 2001 during his academic pursuit in Kumaran’s Children Home School, Thyagarajanagar. He completed his Bachelor of Academic Law and an LLB from Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies.

An NGO by the name of Arise India was founded by Tejasvi in 2008. The prime objective of the NGO is to promote rural development and education in an attempt to foster a strong youth vote bank in India. Another initiative of Surya is Centre for Entrepreneurial Excellence which he co-founded to take care of projects associated with entrepreneurship and education. His religious proclivity is deep-seated in Hindutva and Indian culture. The ideology he staunchly supports, according to Surya, is largely attributed to legendary personalities, such as Swami Vivekananda, Vir Savarkar, Aurobindo and BR Ambedkar.

A Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Surya is currently a Member Of Parliament of 17^th LOK SABHA, after his victory from Bangalore South constituency during the general election held in 2019. An RSS Swayamsevak, Tejasvi has positive views on same-sex marriage and supports legalizing the same. In his early political career phase, Tejasvi was an active member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He came into the nationwide spotlight for efficiently managing Karnataka Legislative Assembly election of 2018 by leading Digital Communications Team of Karnataka BJP. He also contributed his best to the BJP in the general election of 2014 in which he organized and addressed more than 100 public meetings.
