Nitin Jairam Gadkari is a noted politician of Bhartiya Janata Party in India. He was born on May 27, 1957, into a Marathi family in the Indian city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. At present, Gadkari is a cabinet minister under the Modi-led Central government handling the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the ministry of shipping, and the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. In the earlier phase of a political career, Gadkari served as the president of BJP for the tenure of 2010 to 2013.
